DRUGS STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

The World Health Organization (WHO) states that the manufacturing laboratory is responsible for the quality of medicines until it reaches the patient, therefore it is necessary to both produce them according to Good Manufacturing Practices and keep them and transport them according to each product norm.

If a product should be kept between 2°C and 15°C, this is the temperature range at which it will be stored for its entire life cycle (Expiration Date). This includes the storage and transportation period.

Otherwise the drug could alter its quality and not effectively fulfill the purpose for which it is intended, in turn resulting in its toxicity; e.g.: antibiotics.
